When I say now, I don’t mean this season specifically. I mean now, as in, at this point in your life. It doesn’t really matter what stage you are in – a working adult, a new parent, a retiree, a senior citizen. You could travel the other side of your state, cross-country, or internationally. Now is the best time to travel. Why, you ask? There are several reasons:

Traveling exposes you to new cultures and traditions. A New Yorker with be amazed at the difference between their state and California. The same learning pattern can be had between countries.

Connect with People

Traveling isn’t entirely about tours, beach excursions, and history – it is also about meeting new people and forming connections. Some of the best moments in your trips will be when you meet with people after a long day of activity and talk about life. 

You’ll meet people from all over the world who are in search of the same thing as you, giving you an instant kinship. Hearing about the lives and people that wait for them back home will give you a feel for who they are outside of their sarong and open a view to what life is like in a different part of the world.

If Not Now, When?

There are many reason to talk yourself out of traveling, but take a look at them… are they good ones? Time waits for no one and the world is ever changing. Beaches erode, the political environment changes – things may not be the same when you finally get around to doing it.

Don’t wait. Go. Travel to the place you’ve always wanted to go or make your very first foray outside of your comfort zone. See the world – you’ll be happy that you did.
